Our Campground
The Bluffs on Black Lake has an 8-acre campground with 19 rustic and 19 electric sites overlooking Black Lake’s northeastern shore.
The popular Black Mountain Recreational Area is located directly across from the campground, which sees a lot of winter activity from cross-country skiers and snowmobilers, as well as dirt bikers in the warmer months. The crosscountry ski trail groomer comes to the restaurant’s front door.
Our 75 foot dock on Black Lake welcomes boaters and our neighbor, Black Mountain Recreation Area, has a sandy beach.
Boaters and cottages along the south lakeshore can call and summon a golf cart to transport them up the steep incline to the restaurant. The Bluffs also will sell fuel to recreational bikers.
There is direct access to the Black Mountain, Silver Creek and Bummers Roost trails. We’re 13 miles from Cheboygan and one hour from Petoskey.
